SkyVenture Arizona
Experience body flight inside Arizona’s vertical wind tunnel. SkyVenture Arizona welcomes first-time flyers and experienced skydivers, with options for children as young as 3. Our facility is in Eloy, between Phoenix and Tucson. With controllable airflow and an instructor beside you, you can discover what it feels like to fly: no airplane or parachute required.
Choose Your Indoor Skydiving Experience
SkyVenture Arizona uses four 400-horsepower fans to draw air through a 14-foot-wide flight chamber. Airspeed can reach up to 150 mph and is adjusted for each flyer, creating the lift that supports your body above the net.
This is not a virtual-reality ride or a video simulation. You enter the chamber and fly on a column of air. Before the flight, our instructors teach you the basic body position and hand signals. Inside the chamber, they stay within reach as you learn to use the airflow.
Your experience can begin with a first flight and grow into focused training. Choose the path that matches where you are now.
First Time Flyers
No previous flying or skydiving experience is required. Before entering the chamber, you’ll complete a brief class covering body position and hand signals. We provide your flight suit, helmet, goggles, earplugs, and protective pads. Arrive in comfortable clothing with lace-up athletic shoes.
You’ll fly one at a time with direct instructor guidance while the rest of your group watches. Plan for the full check-in, training, gear-up, and flight experience to take up to one to two hours, depending on group size. Flyers must be at least 3 years old, and additional participation requirements apply. Reservations are recommended.
Experienced Flyers
Use tunnel time to work on the details you cannot always isolate during a skydive. The 14-foot chamber gives individual flyers and teams space to refine body position, transitions, and formation skills with repeatable airflow. Our onsite instructors also offer coaching for flyers working toward specific goals.
Because the tunnel is next to Skydive Arizona, skydivers can train indoors and bring those skills to the drop zone in the same location. Bring your own gear or use the flight suits, goggles, and helmets available at SkyVenture Arizona. Check the tunnel schedule and reserve your time before you arrive.
Go Skydiving
Indoor body flight and outdoor skydiving are different experiences, but both teach you how your body moves through the air. If you are ready to experience freefall from an airplane, Adventures in Skydiving offers tandem skydives next door at Skydive Arizona. You will be securely harnessed to an experienced tandem instructor who guides the jump from training through landing.
Kids Club
Kids Club is for flyers ages 3 through 17 who have already completed the first-time flight class and want to keep learning. Each session includes a warm-up and post-flight debrief around five minutes of flight time with an assigned instructor. The program helps young flyers build confidence and sportsmanship as they work toward goals in the tunnel.
Kids Club dates and space are limited. Contact our office for current scheduling and registration information.
Military Services
SkyVenture Arizona makes its wind tunnel available for military training. Because these sessions require direct coordination, organizations interested in using the facility should contact our military services team for scheduling and program information.
